Jello Biafra has been busy since the Dead Kennedys. He performed in bands like Lard, No WTO Combo, Tumor Circus, and recorded albums with DOA, Mojo Nixon, Nomeansno and The Melvins. This is his full-time time band since DK, and I’m glad he’s finally back playing music full-time! Jello is also known for his political spoken word stuff, so definitely expect a politically charged album from Biafra.

The Alternative Tentacles 30th Anniversary Incest-A-Thon features three shows running over the range of available talent at our disposal, which is mighty. Though less than a handful of labels in the punk genre have stuck it out longer, we are proud nonetheless to make it battered and bruised through the past three decades. Begun in 1979 to release Dead Kennedys’ “California Uber Alles” single, the San Francisco institution continues to release new music as well as occasional punk reissues and a breadth of styles beyond punk. The strand holding it all together is the tastes and whims of label owner Jello Biafra. Appropriately, this Incest-A-Thon doubles as a three night residency for headliners Jello Biafra and Guantanamo School of Medicine, whose debut album “The Audacity of Hype” comes out October 20th.
