Just when you thought Avatar was long enough, James Cameron releases an extended cut on Blu-Ray and DVD! But what’s funny is that the movie doesn’t feel any longer, but at the same time it feels complete. If there is one movie that should only be watched on Blu-Ray, it’s Avatar!

The biggest movie ever has arrived on DVD and Blu-Ray. Since I’m too much of a cheapskate and don’t own a Blu-Ray player, I have to settle with just the DVD. I’m sure this movie looks beautiful on Blu-Ray but it’s not bad on DVD either. If you’re in a hurry to see Avatar, this is the DVD to get. I’m not sure this DVD edition is the right one to get though because you know Fox will be pumping out plenty of special editions DVDs in the near future. This is simply the appetizer until the real DVD & Blu-Ray come out later this year.

Avatar DVD and Blu-Ray coming out April 22nd 2010

20th Century Fox announced this morning that Avatar is coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray April 22nd. I think it’s safe to say that this will sell a few copies here and there. I can’t wait to watch this again, too bad 3D TVs aren’t really consumer-ready yet to watch this on but I’m sure there will be plenty of different versions of this movie out on video for years to come. I think this will be awesome to watch regardless of 3D or not. Can’t wait!
