Less Than Jake announce 2013 tour dates
We announced last week that Less Than Jake signed with Fat Wreck Chords, and now they have announced a buttload of tour dates. The band will play in New York on Rocks Off! Boat Cruise on June 12th. They are playing the Rocks ON Boat Cruise in Boston on June 16th. The June dates will be supported by Hostage Calm and Pentimento.

Less Than Jake releasing new album on Fat Wreck Chords
Less Than Jake were on Fat Wreck Chords’ roster back in 2000 but they left for a major label soon after. Then in 201,2 the band re-released Borders & Boundaries and the subsequent EP collection Greetings & Salutations on Fat Wreck Chords so it makes sense that the band will be releasing their next album on Fat Wreck. The band plays to record the new album in May!

Quebec’s Amnesia Rockfest lineup is insane!
If There’s a festival I would drive 7 hours to, this might be in it! Quebec’s Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec, Canada will be held on June 14th-15th and the lineup has been announced. Less Than Jake announces West Coast Tour and new album Greetings and Salutations
Less Than Jake announced they will be touring the West Coast of US and Canada. They are still in 20th anniversary mode and spreading their Pez love across the nation. The band will be playing select dates with Mad Caddies (!), Flatfoot 56 and Reel Big Fish. Less Than Jake will release a new album titled Greetings and Salutations in October. The album will be comprised of the two previously released EPs Greetings From Less Than Jake and Season’s Greetings From Less Than Jake, along with two brand-new, unheard songs. So basically, they are releasing two new songs.

Riot Fest 2012 announce 1st wave of bands
There are two punk fests that are the best in the world. Nope, not the Warped Tour. You have to have PUNK bands on the tour to be considered the best punk fest! Punk Rock Bowling Festival in Vegas and the other is Riot Fest in Chicago. The first Wave of Riot Fest and Carnival 2012 announcements have been announced! Riot Fest will be taking place between September 14-16. Few notable bands include: Slapstick reunion, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Elvis Costello, Descendents, Gogol Bordello, NOFX, Jesus and Mary Chain, Gaslight Anthem, Fishbone and others!

Less Than Jake have been around for 20 years already!? I’ve been a fan for 15 years of that 20. Instead of just releasing full-length albums lately, Less Than Jake have released 2 small EPs containing 5 songs. The previous album “Greetings From” was released in the summer and the newest EP “Seasons Greetings…” was released in February. The funny thing this isn’t a holiday album. Would seem a bit silly to release a Christmas album in February, but then again this Less Than Jake we’re talking about.
