ReadJunk Playlist: February 2010 (Valentine’s Day Edition)
ReadJunk.com is going to create playlists each month for you! Everyone loves a good mix tape, CD, playlist (whatever) but sometimes you just don’t know what to put on it. Well each month I’ll write up a good playlist to create for yourself or someone else. Each playlist will most likely be a theme, but sometimes I might just wing it and put a bunch of songs I like together. The music will range from ska to punk to folk rock to even more obscure stuff like TV themes. Whatever I feel like putting on the list basically.

The 82nd Academy Award nominations announced!
The nominations for 82nd Academy Awards were announced this morning! Not really any surprises or shockers here, more of the same from the other award shows we’ve seen. About the only change is seeing 10 movies being nominated instead of 5 for Best Picture. The result of that is seeing movies like District 9, Up and Blind Side being nominated. Avatar and Hurt Locker both scored 9 nominations and that looks like the movies to beat this year. Personally, hoping Avatar wins a lot this year. I’m just glad stupid Glee won’t be ruining this awards show! Read the full list below:

Adam Coozer’s Best of 2009
I hate doing year-end lists. They require too much research into release dates and that means looking up other year-end lists. Then your shit is influenced by others and you get all self-conscious that you haven’t yet heard the new Camera Obscura CD or seen The Hurt Locker. Damn you, Hurt Locker. Foiled again!
