2010 is quickly ending and it was quite an interesting year. I got engaged, I’m about to move to Jersey City and things have just been busy all year round. This year in music and movie was okay, with better music coming out than movies I think. At least in terms of music that I like. This list below might not be as long as my usual Year in Review list but that’s okay, I think I covered everything I need to. Check out my lists below:

One of my all-time favorite shows is over and it makes me feel a little empty inside. No more reading Lost forums for hours the next day at work, reading stupid, over-analytical Doc Jensen columns on EW. No more discussing with co-workers and friends about theories about what was going to happen next. A show like this only comes around every so often. The hardcore Lost fans have been through the ups and downs of the show, including the talked about series finale. When it comes down to it, you either can accept the finale for what it is or don’t. But you can’t deny that Lost set the bar very high for future drama shows. Even though it didn’t win any Emmys for the final season, I still think Lost is one of the best TV shows in the last 50 years.

Weezer has gone back to an independent label and signed with Epitaph Records. I’m not that big of a fan of Weezer, but I do enjoy some of their songs. Their new album is called “Hurley,” which is yes, after the character on LOST played by Jorge Garcia. How cool is that! I might even check out the album now, even though there won’t be any LOST reference songs.

Whether or not you liked the series finale of LOST or not, it will be coming out on DVD & Blu-Ray regardless on August 24th. There will be a Complete Collection set and a 6th Season DVD 7 Blu-Ray as well. For those looking for questions (and more questions), you might find some of the answers on the DVD & Blu-Ray (yeah right?). There will be an epilogue that features Hurley and Ben, which I’d definitely want to see.

Jimmy Kimmel Live keeps giving us hilarious LOST spoofs this week! Usually the Unnecessary Censorship are funny anyway, but this time it’s even more hilarious when its nothing but LOST footage! I’m sure they could have done even more of this if they wanted to, or maybe they are saving some up for the Lost special that’s airing after the finale Sunday night! The best clip is at the very end of the segment, check it out:

“Lost” Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse presented the “Top Ten Spoilers for the ‘Lost’ Finale” on Late Show with David Letterman last night. Like with most Top Ten lists on Letterman, some aren’t funny, some are amusing and some are just downright dumb. But the highlight was seeing a cameo from Michael Emerson (Ben Linus) read off 1 from the list! Watch after the jump:

Why hasn’t Michael Emerson hosted SNL yet? At least then maybe the show would be funny! Emerson (Ben Linus of LOST) showed up on The Soup last night on E! and it was hilarious. It wasn’t even about LOST, but about 24 and how confusing things are. Check it out below:

It’s that time of year for everyone to reflect on 2009, and look back at what was great and what wasn’t. Now, it’s my turn. You may see some similarities in lists but whatever, I tried to switch it up. I didn’t get in depth as much as Bryan or Tom’s List but this is what I thought stood out for me in this roller coaster of a year. Have a look at my list, after the jump!

The best TV series of the decade is back on DVD and Blu-Ray for your viewing pleasure! Lost went in a trippy, time-traveling direction this season but the results were fantastic! No other show out there today makes me want to read up on fan sites and talk to co-workers the following morning about what happened. So when Lost ends this spring, I’m going to feel very empty inside. At least we’ll be able to enjoy this series on video!

The Emmys were on last night and for the most part, they were as predictable as ever. 30 Rock, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Daily Show zZzZz. Wake me up when someone else finally wins something. 30 Rock is good but I feel The Office or something deserves to win for a chance. I was even hoping for an upset and seeing Family Guy win. I swear it’s the same actors and actresses winning every year. One shocker was when the brilliant Michael Emerson won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for LOST. It was nice to see 24 represented with Cherry Jones winning, but that makes me wonder. Why the hell didn’t Dennis Haysbert ever win an Emmy for his role for David Palmer? He definitely played a better president than she did. Other than that, same old same old.

The Emmy nominations were just announced this morning. The most surprising news of the day is Family Guy being nominated for Best Comedy Series instead of Best animated program! It’s a longshot to win since it’s up against The Office, 30 Rock, Entourage, Flight Of The Conchords and How I Met Your Mother. Lost was nominated for Best Drama, and Michael Emerson got nominated for Best Supporting Actor. But where are the nominations for the Shield!? Anyway, see the complete list courtesy of THRFeed.com.
