Pama International’s “Pama Outernational” hitting stores in April

Heavyweight dub sounds rule the way on the brand new album “Pama Outernational” from Pama International. Picking up where 2008’s critically acclaimed ‘Love Filled Dub Band’ album left off, the album shamelessly holds it’s influences high. King Tubby & Lee Perry’s dub style meet the southern soul sounds of 1960’s Stax, all the time remaining distinctly Pama.

If you haven’t noticed by now, The Specials are playing the United States and we’ve been discussing it at length here at ReadJunk.com. The Specials playing NYC April 21st! Live DVD in the works

Wonderful news to wake up to this morning from @skacumentary on Twitter! The reunited Specials are playing New York City on April 21st at Terminal 5. While that venue isn’t my first choice to see them at, I’ll take it! This is a show NOT to be missed! The band were also announced to play Coachella a few days ago so the chances of them playing NYC were very high. Bowery Presents say the tickets will go on sale January 29th at 12 EST. If I don’t get tickets to this, I might have to murder someone. And if anyone knows someone to contact about a photo pass, let me know!

The interviews were conducted by Danny Eccleston and Terry, Neville, Lynval, Roddy, John, and Horace all give their take on the current Specials reunion. They talk about the band breaking up, how the band got back together and of course the elephant in the room, why Jerry Dammers isn’t part of the reunion. It’s an amazing read and something everyone should check out!
