Beautiful Days 2010 initial lineup announced!


The first acts for The Levellers’ excellent festival Beautiful Days have been announced! The festival will take place between August 20th – 22nd 2010 at Escot Park, Devon, England. Some of the notable bands playing this year include: James, Newton Faulkner, The Wailers, Levellers, Fairport Acoustic Convention, Billy Bragg, Slackers, Easy Star All-Stars, Citizen Fish, New Model Army, Aggrolites, The Alarm, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and 3 Daft Monkeys. One of these years, I’d like to venture over to England for this festival, but who knows if I’ll ever make the plunge to do so. More bands and other news will be announced shortly. The 15th annual Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival lineup announced


The 15th annual Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival will be back in Las Vegas this year. Held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Desert Breeze Skate Park, this year’s event will again offer fans a full day of rock and extreme sports, including a Pro BMX dirt jump competition, professional wrestling, roller derby, as well as the Vegas AmJam amateur BMX and skate competition.

Big Ears Festival 2010 expands its lineup


The second Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee during the weekend of March 26 – 28, 2010 continues to expand with Sufjan Stevens, Adrian Belew, William Basinski, Liturgy, Konk Pack, Abe Vigoda, and Ches Smith now slated to join the lineup.

Jim Jarmusch curating Sunday’s ATP: NY 2010


All Tomorrow’s Parties will return to Kutsher’s Country Club, Monticello for the third ATP New York festival over Labor Day weekend, running from Friday 3rd September – Sunday 5th September. ATP announced that legendary film-maker Jim Jarmusch, well known for his fantastic collaborations and documentaries with musicians will be the guest curator on Sunday 5th. His first choices include: The Brian Jonestown Massacre, F*Cked Up, Raekwon, Girls, Wooden Shjips, The Black Angels and Vivian Girls.

Bonnaroo 2010 lineup announced! Tickets on sale now!


Bonnaroo has officially & annoyingly announced their lineup today. All day today, bands & artists either announced they were playing the popular US festival or Bonnaroo announced the lineup on Twitter or other social networks. To be honest, It made things a bit of a headache to keep up. Tickets also went on sale today at 12 at Bonnaroo.com! As for the bands, the most notables ones out of the bunch include: Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Cliff, Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z, Weezer, Kings Of Leon, Gaslight Anthem, Phoenix, Damien Marley, Rise Against, Gwar, She & Him, Dropkick Murphys, Jeff Beck, Against Me!, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Daryl Hall & Chromeo. 2010 Coachella line up is announced!


The 2010 Coachella line up is announced and again proves that it’s one of the best music festivals in the world. The lineup is eclectic and one band that stands out is THE SPECIALS! Yes The Specials will be playing The United States finally!! If the band is playing the festival, it looks like a Specials might be playing elsewhere in the US then?? I’d check their website but my nazi job blocked the website for some reason.
