The Irish rock band The Cranberries are back, after taking a hiatus for a few years. Dolores O’Riordan and the band made a stop at Nokia Theatre in Times Square in New York City last night. The concert was sold out, and something tells me that they could have sold out another 2 shows at least.

Music Video: Great Lake Swimmers – “Palmistry”
Great Lake Swimmers are becoming one of my favorite folk rock bands. Their new album Lost channels is out now and it’s an excellent album! The Rifles full length album “The Great Escape” coming out September 15th
London-based rock band THE RIFLES are set to release their N. American debut, GREAT ESCAPE, on September 15; the foursome will celebrate by bringing their rollicking live show to the US for a handful of tour dates staring September 22 in Philadelphia, PA (full list below).

Nettwerk Music Group signs The Rifles!
One of my favorite bands of 2009, The Rifles, have signed with the US label Nettwerk Music Group. Their latest album “The Great Escape” has been out since last year and have been frequent plays on my iPod. Now that the band has their North American deal in place, Americans will see how a real album sounds! “The Great Escape” EP will be out July 28th, and their awesome full length will be out later this year. I really hope this means the band will be coming over to the States to tour!
