Cokie the Clown is the latest EP from NOFX. Well I guess I shouldn’t call this “latest” since this was released back in November 2009. Hey, I’m a busy guy ok! Anyway, Cokie the Clown’s album cover features Fat Mike looking like a clown, with Alice Cooper eyes. The music video is amusing because Fat Mike squirts all his friends with exploding powdered dust. I know I’d be pissed if that happened to me but what are you gonna do, its Fat Mike.

Every year I see news about the Punk Rock Bowling Tournament, and every year I feel like going. Just kind of hard to book tickets for a show that’s far away in Las Vegas. Besides Flogging Molly and NOFX, Fucked Up, Swinging Utters, The Revival Tour, Youth Brigade, Cobra Skulls, and Teenage Bottlerocket will be playing with the punk rock festival that is taking place over 3 days. Fat Wreck Chords has been around since 1990, and they are celebrating their 20th anniversary a little early. They released the album in December 2009 so they jumped the gun a bit. I’m okay with that since they are celebrating the label with a kick-ass 3-disc compilation featuring classic Fat songs, as well as rare demos and songs from the Fat Club series!

Last week (December 3) at Slim’s in San Francisco, Rock to Roll 2009 was in full effect. NOFX, Wax, Dead to Me and Nathen Maxwell and the Original Bunny Gang played blistering sets to a frenzied crowd, and when the dust had settled the event was able to collectively raise over $22,000 for UCP-Wheels for Humanity.

The fourth annual Rock To Roll charity event spearheaded by SideOneDummy Co-Founder Joe Sib is happening this year at Slim’s in San Francisco, CA on Thursday December 3, 2009. The event will directly benefit the non-profit organization UCP Wheels For Humanity. Headlining the event this year is NOFX. The night will also feature performances from Wax, Dead to Me and Nathen Maxwell & The Original Bunny Gang.

The fifth annual Riot Fest took over five days and several venues and clubs in Chicago last week. From old school punks to newer acts playing, it was hard to choose which acts to see and which venue to see them at. Skipping Wednesday and Thursday night, I started off my first Riot Fest experience on Friday and saw the rest of the weekend through.

NOFX just played Riot Fest in Chicago. Now they have announced some more dates, this time in California and Central America. The band said that they will be touring next year as well so that’s always a good sign. On November 24th, NOFX will release Cokie the Clown EP/Vinyl 7″ that will be available through iTunes.
