Carbon Leaf’s Albany, NY show at The Egg has moved to April 16th (updated)

Carbon Leaf’s show tomorrow night (February 25th 2010) at the Egg in Albany,NY has been postponed due to the big ass blizzard heading our way right now. The show will be happening Friday April 16th now! I’m happy Carbon Leaf decided to postpone the show considering I didn’t feel like either eating the tickets or driving through a foot of snow. What’s the cost of a nice snow plow rental these days? Plus, the band might have a tough time getting from Rochester to Albany, where they are playing tonight I believe? You can also see Carbon Leaf play in Teaneck, NJ on April 17th if you can’t make it to the Albany show.

Weezer lead singer injured in Bus crash in Amsterdam,NY

Not much happens in Amsterdam, NY. It snows up there for the most part, which is the reason why Rivers Cuomo and his bus went off the road in Upstate NY this weekend. The lead singer of Weezer got minor injuries, and his family on board the bus didn’t get injured. Maybe the snow gods were angry that Weezer came out with their own version of the Snuggie? All joking aside, it’s good that they didn’t get seriously injured.

ATP NY announced their acts for the Upstate NY festival for their first night (Friday September 3rd). Already the lineup seems ten times better than this year’s festival. But maybe that’s just my taste in music? The festival will be held between Friday 3rd September to Sunday 5th September at the Kutsher’s Country Club, Monticello. Tickets are available from today on pre-sale via ATP, and will go on general sale this coming Wednesday from ticketsellers via www.atpfestival.com. I live so close to this Festival, you’d think I’d be more excited about it? Seeing the Stooges play Raw Power would be cool though!

The Queers are playing Port Jervis, NY August 24th 2009

The legendary pop punk band The Queers will be playing Port Jervis, NY (of all places) on Monday August 24th. Usually the band makes stops in Hoboken, NJ or Wilkes-Barre,PA but this time they are playing at some place called Erie Track Side Manor. Hmm, looks like it’s gonna be a small, intimate punk rock show (with maybe a stage?). Local bands Amrev2, Soul 4 Sale, Makeout Music and You And What Army are opening up for the band.
