The nationwide run, which kicks off June 14th in Denver, CO and runs through July 31st in Chicago, IL, will feature Thursday as direct support along with Colour Revolt on all dates. Funeral for a Friend announces U.S. release plans for new album

British post-hardcore kings FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND are pleased to announce their U.S. plans to release their upcoming brand new full-length, Welcome Home Armageddon, set to hit stores stateside on March 15th, 2011. The album will be released on the band’s new label, GOOD FIGHT MUSIC, and will reconnect them with the original label team that released the band’s first two major pieces of music, Seven Ways to Scream Your Name EP (2003), and Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation (2003). This is their first offering of music since 2008’s Memory and Humanity, and promises to be a new musical direction for the band.

Nakatomi Plaza – “Ghosts”

Nakatomi Plaza exits stage left on this interesting but angsty final album. Musically, “Ghosts” finds them somewhere between post-hardcore and Superchunk-style distortion-heavy indie. The tunes are dense, with a lot packed into 2-3 minutes, but there isn’t quite the dynamic energy to make it work. Male-female vocals are emotionally powerful but don’t seem to fit well over the flat music.
