Record Label: Greensleeves/VP Records

Band Link: Myspace.com/alborosie
Alborosie, hailing from Sicily Italy, emigrated to Jamaica to be closer to his Rastafarian beliefs, and with “Escape From Babylon To The Kingdom of Zion,” comes a collection of his previous two albums plus a few new tracks. Picking up where 2008’s critically acclaimed ‘Love Filled Dub Band’ album left off, the album shamelessly holds it’s influences high. King Tubby & Lee Perry’s dub style meet the southern soul sounds of 1960’s Stax, all the time remaining distinctly Pama.
