My Morning Jacket gets animated on American Dad
American Dad is going the way of the Simpsons. Pretty soon Family Guy, and all the other Seth MacFarlane shows will be filled with guest stars each week that the gimmick will quickly fade out. But anyway, FOX’s American Dad” is going to air a My Morning Jacket themed episode! The episode will feature 6 My Morning Jacket songs and the band will appear in animated form. When will the Harlem Globetrotters episode be?

Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Darkside out on DVD & Blu-Ray December 22nd
Family Guy’s Blue Harvest DVD was such a hit that they are continuing on with their Star Wars homages with “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Darkside.” They will be making fun of the ultimate of sequels, The Empire Strikes Back. One thing I hope they do is break away from the original plot and storyline and mix it up a little bit. It’s one thing to just do exactly what Star Wars did, but just with Family Guy characters; it’s another to spoof it in a creative and original way. We’ll see what Seth MacFarlane and co. do this time around. Either way I’m sure I’ll like it. Read the press release below and see some screen grabs from the DVD/Blu-Ray:

The latest Family Guy Volume is out on DVD and contains episodes from Season 6 and the first half of Season 7. This volume isn’t as funny as the other volumes but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth buying. If you like Family Guy, this volume will still make you laugh.

It’s been awhile since I last seen an episode of American Dad. It’s not a bad show; it’s just something I don’t watch anymore. I simply watch too many shows during the season and this didn’t make the cut. But that’s the good thing about DVDs; you can watch TV shows that you didn’t get a chance to see. American Dad Volume 4 has some funny episodes but some things just annoy me about the series.

Family Guy Volume 7 DVD out June 16th
Have you heard about the bird? That the bird is the word? Well…a bird, bird, bird, the bird is the word. The most annoying Family Guy scene EVER can now be seen over and over again because Family Guy Volume 7 is coming to DVD on June 16th. The scene I’m talking about is when Peter obtains the Trashmen’s “Surfin’ Bird” record and can’t stop singing it & playing it. It seriously made me want to blow my brains all over my apartment. But the rest of the season is funny! I just might have to skip that episode though.

Seth Macfarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy out on Blu-Ray and DVD May 12th
All the Seth Macfarlane’s Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy shorts were hilarious but they were way too short. Now all the animated shorts plus lots of never before seen episodes will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray May 12th from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. I’m really happy to see this get released on DVD & Blu-Ray, especially when it will be uncensored!

American Dad Volume Four DVD out April 28th
Seth MacFarlane’s American Dad is coming out with another DVD. This time it’s Volume 4 and it will be coming out April 28th. There will be 14 episodes total on the DVD and the episodes feature hilarious guest voices from Elizabeth Banks, J.K. Simmons, Patrick Stewart And Amanda Seyfried.
