Band of Horses, Aquabats, Weezer, Sarah Silverman appearing on Yo Gabba Gabba!

A new season of Yo Gabba Gabba (that trippy weird kids show co-created by the Bat Commander of the Aquabats) commences within a week! There are a load of people appearing on the show (for some reason) and some of them include: Band of Horses, The Aquabats, Anthony Bourdain, Of Montreal, Mos Def, Devo, Sarah Silverman, and Weird Al Yankovic. I’m curious to see what these people will be doing. I’m sure YouTube will have clips of their embarrassment.

news_0609_virginmobilefest09
The Virgin Mobile Fest is doing something Ozzfest has already done and is offering up FREE tickets. Sounds pretty sweet to me, I’d probably drive down if there were better bands playing. The full lineup playing the one-day fest include: Blink 182, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Public Enemy, Taking Back Sunday, Bravery, Girl Talk, Jet, The National, The Hold Steady, St. Vincent, Wale, and Mates Of State. The festival will also include a dance tent favorites that include Pete Tong, Danny Howells and Lee Burridge. An interesting lineup to say the least. The festival is happening August 30th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.

Weezer and Fall Out Boy will be opening up for the band as well. PLUS Panic At The Disco, All American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, Asher Roth and Chester French. They should call this Pussyfest 2009!

Taking Back Sunday (Eddie)

Taking Back Sunday’s Eddie Reyes was nice enough to take time out of his busy tour schedule for a phoner from Tampa, FL. Their new record, “Louder Now” debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Top 200 and is currently being promoted with a stadium tour featuring Angels and Airwaves, Head Automatica and The Subways. Although he got pretty secretive towards the end of the interview, he managed to share some information about what lies ahead for TBS.
