
The fifth annual Riot Fest took over five days and several venues and clubs in Chicago last week. From old school punks to newer acts playing, it was hard to choose which acts to see and which venue to see them at. Skipping Wednesday and Thursday night, I started off my first Riot Fest experience on Friday and saw the rest of the weekend through.

Fresh off a massive summer outing co-headlining the Blazed and Confused Tour with Snoop Dogg, Slightly Stoopid is doing a tour in intimate venues this November to please their loyal fan base. The run spans from Aspen, CO to Atlantic City, NJ, and includes a rare New York City club show at Terminal 5 before they head to Amsterdam to headline this years Cannabis Cup. California dirty reggae outfit, The Aggrolites, and French rockers, The Inspector Cluzo, will support Slightly Stoopid.

The Aggrolites’ 4th full-length album “The Aggrolites IV” is the follow-up to the brilliant “Reggae Hit L.A.” The Aggro reggae band have compiled 21 songs of funky, reggae, soul music that will make you want to grow out an afro and boogie with your little lady. While I think it’s hard to top “Reggae Hit L.A,” I think the band comes close to doing that. Either way, this is the album of the summer!

How would you compare Reggae Hit LA to your other albums?
I believe album is a lot more soul influenced than the last two.
