The Gaslight Anthem – Terminal 5, NYC

news_1009_gaslightanthem
Date: October 15tgh 2009
Opening Bands: Murder By Death, Broadway Calls, Jesse Malin
Band Link: www.gaslightanthem.com

Terminal 5 is the worst venue in NYC but The Gaslight Anthem rocked the house last night! Seriously, Terminal 5 is horrible for the sound and the layout if my opinion counts for anything. T5 makes it hard to hear anything unless you are directly in front of the stage on any level. Yet the unlucky group of fans don’t get to hear as well when we’re blocked by pillars and platforms.

This is my last year doing this.” And every year Perry Farrell and co. have a knack for luring me back with their artist line-up. This year my key choices were Lou Reed. One thing I’ve learned about Lolla is that nothing turns out as you plan.

PunkRadioCast teams up with Jones Soda for Punk Pop Six Pack

news_0609_punkradiocast_jones
Internet radio station PunkRadioCast has teamed up with Jones Soda to create a punk pop 6 pack featuring labels designed by PunkRadioCast and five great punk artists – New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, Bad Brains, Thursday and The Gaslight Anthem. I love Jones Soda, so much in fact, someone should send me this pack for posting this news item about these. Wink wink nudge nudge! I think Less Than Jake will taste the best. Hopefully the soda doesn’t include hairs from Roger’s dreads in it.
