Save BBC6 music and Asian Network stations

BBC6 and Asian Network stations are on the verge of getting taken off the air. It would be a huge blow to up & coming bands, and other non-mainstream bands if the 6 Music was axed. We all can’t just listen to the annoying pop music of BBC 1 Radio can we? I can’t even listen to BBC 6 sadly but I know we have a fair share of Brits on here so be sure to sign the petition that has been circulating around the net. Sign the petition here and spread the word!

It’s no secret that the Levellers is my favorite band. While I can’t cross the pond to go see them perform all the time, the next best thing is either their live DVDs or CDs. In this case, Live at Royal Albert Hall is a brand new live album, recorded at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London. The album is available through the band’s fanclub, or you can purchase a download version at iTunes internationally (yes it’s available on US iTunes as well)!

Morrissey leaves concert after getting drink tossed at him

news_0909_morrissey
Lots of Morrissey drama popping up as of late. The latest is that he was performing only his 2nd song in Liverpool, UK when some ass clown threw his glass bottle at Morrissey. Not sure what’s true or not, but some reports are saying the glass bottle hit his head. Morrissey said goodbye to the crowd and left. The audience got a full refund, just because of one drunken angry idiot throwing something. Why go to a show when you’re not going to like the singer, who’s freakin’ headlining? I don’t get people sometimes. But doesn’t excuse Morrissey for being a drama queen and leaving the rest of the crowd out to dry. Read the full account over at NME.

Morrissey collapses at UK concert

news_0909_morrissey
Morrissey collapsed at a concert last night in Swindon, UK. He was performing the song “This Charming Man” when he fell to his knees with breathing difficulties. His band’s members took him off stage and an ambulance took him to the Hospital, where he’s in “stable” condition. The audience wasn’t really aware how bad his condition was because they were getting pissed and booing. Morrissey has canceled tours because of illness in recent months, so perhaps they just thought he was being over dramatic? Who knows but get well Moz!
