I’m not sure if anyone has seen the hilarious Saturday Night Live skit MacGruber, but I think you should head over to or and watch them all! MacGruber is a MacGyver spoof that is probably the funniest thing SNL has done in years. Yeah yeah yeah…People will probably say “SNL is still around?” or “SNL hasn’t been funny since Phil Hartman era.” I think SNL has been pretty bad lately but there has always been one sketch that has made me belly laugh and that’s MacGruber.

MacGruber looks like Richard Dean Anderson is played by Will Forte. He has a female assistant (Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig), and a sidekick. Each short skit is the three characters in a factory/warehouse trying to diffuse a bomb; a few seconds away before it explodes. Just like the funny theme song says: “Making life-saving inventions out of household Materials.” MacGruber asks for the most obscure things to diffuse a bomb like dog poo. But each skit sees them get sidetracked and the building blows up each time. You know what’s going to happen each time but I still can’t help myself but laugh. The funniest MacGruber skits so far have been the last two, one with Jonah Hill and Shia LeBeouf. I can see this character grow into something big and I’m sure Lorne Michaels will want to make this into a movie at some point. Let’s just hope it’s more like Wayne’s World instead of Ladies Man.
