Santa Monica, CA – Dec. 16, 2004 — Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) epic, war-time thriller Call of Duty: Finest Hour was awarded “Best Military Game” at Spike TV’s second annual “Video Game Awards 2004” show held Tuesday in Los Angeles, which aired on Spike TV. Call of Duty: Finest Hour thrusts new recruits and hardened soldiers into a gripping, movie-like WWII combat experience delivering new heights of intensity. The award-winning title is rated “T” (“Teen” – Blood, Violence) and is available at retail stores nationwide. Nominees for Spike TV’s second annual awards were chosen by a video game advisory board of industry experts. Winners are chosen by the board and consumer Internet voting. The 2004 honor marks the second-straight Spike TV award for the Call of Duty franchise, with last year’s hit PC title taking home an award for “Best First Person Action 2003.”
