Music News | Sep 4th, 2012
Broadway Calls have signed with No Sleep Records and plan on releasing a split EP with their new label mates The Mixtapes. That will be coming out on October 23 and plan on releasing a full length album out in early 2013.
“Having been a fan of Broadway Calls since their S/T LP, i was beyond ecstatic to work with them when approached about their upcoming record,” says No Sleep president Chris Hansen. “This record i feel has some of the guys best songs to date, and I am happy to be a part of this. Look for the start of the No Sleep / Broadway Calls collab this October with a split 7″ with label mates Mixtapes which will be coming out just in time for Fest 11.”
“When it came time to find someone to put out our new record, No Sleep was such an obvious choice to us,” adds guitarist/vocalist Ty Vaughn. “They have a diverse roster, and they make their audience feel like they are a part of a community, not just consumers. That’s important to us and everyone in the scene we grew up in.”
Formed in 2005, Broadway Calls released their debut self-titled EP on State of Mind Records in 2007, which was later re-released by Adeline Records in 2008. The band quickly made a name for themselves in the punk rock community with their exceptional talent and performances around the world with The Smoking Popes, I Am The Avalanche, Bad Religion, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, Alkaline Trio, The Polar bear Club, The Swellers and The Gaslight Anthem to name a few.
2012 marks an exciting new chapter for Broadway Calls as they team up with one of punk music’s hottest up-and-coming labels. In October, the band will come out strong with a split EP with Mixtapes before releasing their third studio album in early 2013.
