Chuck Ragan and The Camaraderie’s Till Midnight art campaign submissions ends April 30th

Chuck Ragan and The Camaraderie are calling on artists to create original pieces inspired by Chuck Ragan’s new album Till Midnight. Each artist that is chosen will be assigned a song off of the album to translate the story behind the song into artwork. Selected artists will be featured on Chuck Ragan’s official website and social networks. In addition, limited edition merchandise that was inspired by their art will be featured and sold on Ragan’s website. Submission deadline is Wednesday, April 30th. So if you think you got what it takes, well you only have 2 days to do since we like to post news that’s a bit outdated. Whatever, we’re lazy and have jobs.

“While making Till Midnight, we were so focused on the sound of the record, but every song tells a story,” explains bassist and music director Joe Ginsberg. “I’m so amped up to see how artists relate to these stories and what art comes out as a result!”

Selected artists will be a ssigned a song off of Till Midnight to translate the story behind the song into artwork. In addition, their original pieces along with their artist profile will be featured on Chuck Ragan’s official website and social networks. Also, exclusive pieces and limited edition merchandise inspired by the art will be featured and sold on Ragan’s website. Selected artists will receive a flat fee of $200 for their composition. Artist portfolio/website links along with a $10 entry fee payable to PayPal must be submitted to [email protected] no later than April 30, 2014 to be considered.

Ragan’s critically acclaimed new album Till Midnight was released on March 25, 2014 via SideOneDummy Records. OUTBURN declares, “You don’t need to graduate to Bob Dylan or The Boss yet. That’s because you have Chuck.” Relix adds, “The best part of Ragan’s music, in any context, is that he always sounds like he means it, like he’s playing each song for the first and most important time.” Alternative Press asserts, “There aren’t many Americana albums stronger than Till Midnight.” Innocent Words affirms, “Ragan continues to be one of the best things going, not only in the punk/folk genre, but one of the best things going in music right now.”
