Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

In anticipation of Chuck Ragan’s third full length record COVERING GROUND , the rootsy singer/songwriter is excited to debut the song “Nomad By Fate” on his newly redesigned website After downloading the song for FREE, fans can pre-order Covering Ground, out September 13, 2011 on CD or vinyl, as well as limited edition bundles with custom mini harmonica at SideOneDummy’s webstore.

No stranger to the road, Ragan has spent nearly 20 years traveling the world on tour and is excited to hit the pavement again this Fall on Dropkick Murphys’ inaugural Shamrock-N-Roll Festival. Kicking off with two nights at Boston’s renowned Fenway Park on September 8, Ragan will play the Folk stage all nine nights of the tour, which also features Dropkick Murphys, Street Dogs, The Mahones, The Parkington Sisters, and more. Following the Dropkick Murphys’ festival, Chuck Ragan will embark on his own international event, The Revival Tour (, whose UK and European leg will include eight new countries. The three-week acoustic collective boasts solo and collaborative performances from Ragan, Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio), Dave Hause (The Loved Ones), and Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem/Horrible Crowes), who also appears on the album, and kicks off on September 27 in Bristol, UK.

Written almost entirely on tour, and recorded between three different tours this year, Covering Ground is filled with “road songs,” as Ragan calls it. “The majority, if not all of these songs were either written on the road or they are about the road,” he says. Singing about the dichotomy of his desire to be on the road (“Nomad By Fate” and “Wish On The Moon”) and to be at home with his wife and loyal Labrador Retriever (“Right As Rain” and “Meet You In The Middle”), Ragan admits the album “depicts what I’ve done since the release of the last record, as well as the majority of my life.”
