On April 18th the Long Island-based, Crime In Stereo will release their Nitro debut, The Troubled Stateside. The band’s hardcore roots remain intact on this album, but they continue to move beyond the genre with more mid-tempo tracks, and vocalist, Kristian Hallbert, dropping it down a notch occasionally from his usual high-energy delivery to a more melodic approach. Lyrically, The Troubled Stateside is a study of a touring band, the industry they’re up against, the state of their nation, and their impending adulthood.
