Dear Tonight is a 5-piece band from New York City. Formed in September of 2002, the band began simply enough as a forum for a few friends to make music together while they were in school. As they began to practice, however, the sessions started to evolve into something greater than simply fooling around on weekends. There was a certain intensity coming through and the band soon became a more serious commitment. More so, it became a release: the band was a chance to channel excitement, anger, and frustration as a collective. These emotions are at the root of Dear Tonight’s intense live showwith it’s simultaneous creation and destruction of energy and emotionwhich has drawn flattering comparisons to Angel Hair, Universal Order of Armageddon, and even early Ink and Dagger.

To date, the band has released the I’ve Heard it All demo (self-released) and 2004’s Theses Are Wires EP (Dark City / Slave Union). Their debut LP, We’re Not Men, will be released by Red Leader this summer. Check out more at www.deartonight.com, www.myspace.com/deartonight and www.purevolume.com/deartonight
