Langhorne Slim to headline NYC event at the new Luna Lounge

On June 30th, musicians from all over New York City will share the stage to commemorate the life of Drew Goren, a gifted photographer, friend, and father who tragically lost his life to cancer late last year.

Over the course of his all-too-brief career, Drew befriended many artists, both through his professional work, and through his genuine and irresistible personality. An evocative record of his photography still lives online on his website, subwaysleeper.com.

The artists coming together to celebrate Drew’s legacy all share one thing: they knew him on a personal level, and they miss him dearly. The lineup for the night is headlined by country-folk troubadour Langhorne Slim, joined by local supergroup Neckbeard Telecaster (featuring members of Dirty on Purpose, the Jealous Girlfriends, and others), The GoStation, Sikamoor Rooney, The Wooden Hills, and The Shrubs. Guest DJ Casey Block will man the decks between bands and after the show.

Drew left behind a five-year-old daughter, Nina, who is the primary reason for the establishment of the Drew Goren Memorial Fund. To help ensure the future for her that he would have wanted, all proceeds raised from this evening will be donated directly to the fund.
