Emanuel Hit The Road This Spring
with Madina Lake and Funeral For A Friend
(April 26, 2007) – Louisville, KY’s EMANUEL officially announce Black Earth Tiger will be released on July 17th on Vagrant Records. The band has also confirmed a seven-week U.S. spring tour in anticipation to the new record.
Black Earth Tiger, produced by Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins), is the follow up to the break through album, 2005’s Soundtrack To A Headrush, which ALTERNATIVE PRESS donned “a practically flawless debut.” Black Earth Tiger’s 11 tracks were recorded in Seattle at Studio Litho over this past winter.
Emanuel is gearing up for a U.S. tour, which kicks off on May 10th, and will steer the road warriors from coast to coast, and back again. Emanuel will support Madina Lake on the first leg of the tour, and Funeral For A Friend and labelmates Alexisonfire on the final three week stretch of the tour. See all tour dates below.
Emanuel are very excited to start playing new songs for their fans.
“We’re going to rotate a couple of our favorites from the new record into our set every night” says vocalist Matt Breen. “We’ve been waiting forever to start playing these new songs live. We started writing this record over a year ago and we’ve been holding back.”
Emanuel are already anxious about their next tour, which will follow Black Earth Tiger’s release.
“We can’t wait for Black Earth Tiger to come out, because when the record drops, we’re going to play a lot of it. It’s hard to describe when you just hear a cross section of it, but Black Earth Tiger is more than just different songs; it’s a different vibe and different textures. If fans were feeling Soundtrack To A Headrush back when it was new, I know that they will understand the new shit” explains Breen.
