From Fat City: We’ve just released our latest issue that boasts interviews with Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Methadones, a feature on Warped Tour’s 10th anniversary including conversations with Pennywise, Sick of it All and Face to Face along with a host of other bands as well. The real eye grabber is our second compilation CD which is available free with the purchase of Fat City #9. Like our last CD , Bands We Like Vol. 2 is 19 tracks of unreleased, hard to find, demo and out of print music headlined by a live version of “Trash City” by Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros recorded at the Roxy in Boston during their fall 1999 tour. In other Joe Strummer related news, on June 8th we are holding a benefit show at The Abbey Lounge (www.abbeylounge.com) in Boston with all of the proceeds going to Joe’s memorial charity, The Joe Strummer Foundation For New Music (strummerville.com).
