Asbestos Records NYC Ska Festival Day Two at The Cake Shop, NYC (17)

Ska punk bands I Voted For Kodos (IV4K) have been doing a Kickstarter campaign to release their new album. It’s going to be a cross between a mini EP and a “maxi” EP. So expect more than just a couple of songs. The campaign is coming down to homes stretch and is about to reach its goal, but needs to get there first. There’s only 60 hours to go so be sure to support the band and get their new album!

Hey! We’re making a new mini-album . . . or maxi-E.P. . . . whatever. Get it here first!

Well hey, thanks for stopping by . . . we’re making a new record! What is it exactly? Well, it’s somewhere in the nether regions between a mini-album and a maxi-E.P. – there’ll be some lost classics that we never got around to recording, and some new classics that are, well, newer. Call it what you will; there’s a healthy blast of trombone, choppy guitars, sensuous sax solos, some tasty synths, and all around a whole mess of awesomeness.

Your pledge goes towards covering recording, mixing, and mastering costs, and production of the actual CDs – maybe if there’s a little extra dough we can track another tune. Anything extra on top of that will go towards keeping Lee’s lights on while he works on his first hit screenplay.

Each pledge gets a rough master of a new track instantly, and we’ll e-mail you the digital version of the record as soon as it’s finished – basically, if you pledge you are sure to hear the record before anyone else. As far as incentives go, there’s the basics like CDs and t-shirts and buttons, but keep reading to the bottom to check out opportunities to remix and take music lessons with the band – we’ll even write a tune for you if you like! Oh yeah, and at the $50 level you can be part of the gang for the gang vocals on the record – we’d love to have you.
