Michael Franti and Spearhead will embark on the “Once A Day” tour beginning June 3rd in Norfolk, VA. On June 7th, they will be playing Mountain Jam in Hunter, NY. Tickets and premium Meet & Greet packages are available at www.michaelfranti.com.

“Once A Day” is more than a tour, it’s a movement and the title of his forthcoming single (due this summer). The song talks about the chaos and uncertainty of life. “It is my belief that we should all take the time to hug, kiss, remember and love somebody AT LEAST once a day (and preferably a lot more often!),” explains Michael. “It’s all about highlighting positivity, finding ways to give back to the greater good, celebrating the journey and being grateful for the blessings and challenges of life.”

Leading the charge is the powerful poster imagery of “The Love Bomber,” designed by Ryan Dreimiller and first appeared on a Burlington, VT tour poster in 2002.

“To me it symbolizes the opportunity that all of us have to share and inspire caring each day we are on the planet,” says Michael. “The reason we chose to bring it back at this time is that with all the war, social turmoil and environmental destruction we see in the world today, we feel this message is more important than it ever has been.”

With the multi-platinum success of his song “Say Hey (I Love You)” and the chart breaking 2010 release of The Sound Of Sunshine, Franti and his band guarantee a show that will be thought provoking as well as energetic.
