Michael Franti “One Heart One Soul” tour continues on into February

Michael Franti is going to continue his second leg of hid acoustic tour “One Heart One Soul” in February. He will be playing on the East Coast but no NYC date. You’ll have to venture out of the city if you want to see the tour like in Tarrytown (February 9th) or Albany (February 10th). Pre-sale begins tomorrow at 10am.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist and philanthropist Michael Franti will strip down again, this time for the second leg of his intimate acoustic One Heart One Soul Tour on the East Coast beginning February 9 at Tarrytown Music Hall.
The first leg began on the West coast November 6th with sold out shows in nearly every market. Along with Spearhead bassist Carl Young and guitarist Jay Bowman, Franti will continue to explore new material on the East coast, most in their seedling form – a first for Franti. He explains, “When I write a new song it has to stand up as an acoustic song before I record it with other instrumentation.”
Along with new material, Franti will perform songs from 2013s All People, the follow-up to the wildly successful 2010 release, The Sound of Sunshine, his highest charting album to date amongst other fan favorites.
A high energy performer, known for a raucous dance/party atmosphere, Franti won’t veer too far from his signature show, “When I play acoustically it’s still an energetic dance affair.” He adds, “We are going to wrap up each night with Jay and I DJ’ing after the acoustic show, so bring your dancing shoes… or your bare feet!”
