Chart Attack: Nikola Sarcevic, lead singer of Swedish punk band Millencolin, will raise his solo profile in North America thanks to a freshly inked deal with Freedumb Records.

The Montreal indie label, home to Closedown and Crane, will release Sarcevic’s Roll Roll And Flee sophomore album on April 24. Internationally, he’s signed to Burning Heart Records, which is distributed in North America through Epitaph, which decided not to pick the new album up. The 11-track disc was released in Europe and Australia in October.

The follow-up to 2004’s Lock-Sport-Krock was recorded with multi-instrumentalist Henrik Wind and Soundtrack Of Our Lives drummer Fredrik Sandsten near Sarcevic’s hometown in Gothenburg, Sweden.

“I still love Millencolin and punk rock, but back then it was the only music for me,” says Sarcevic. “Now I know there’s plenty of room for both approaches. I listen to a much wider range of music and it inspires me to write differently.”

The video for “Soul For Sale” will premiere on MusiquePlus on March 4, and Sarcevic hopes to tour Canada at the end of May to promote the album.

Here are the tracks on Roll Roll And Flee:

* “From Where I’m Standing”

* “Tybble Skyline”
