MySpace announces that beloved rock duo The Kills www.myspace.com/thekills will be playing an intimate performance at The Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland on October 6th as part of MySpace Music’s Secret Show series. The co-ed group recently released their third album, “Midnight Boom,” and have spent the summer performing with The Raconteurs. The Secret Show is a free, exclusive performance for the MySpace community.
The Kills formed in London in 2000 and is comprised of Alison “VV” Mosshart and Jamie “Hotel” Hince. Over the past decade, their raw and engaging sound has allowed them to become on of the most critically acclaimed bands in the world. When discussing “Midnight Boom” this past March, the much respected British magazine Mojo raved “The Kills sound and feel like no other band” while Uncut heralded the album as “a revelation.”
Recently the track “Sour Cherry” off of “Midnight Boom was heavily featured in the hit CW show “Gossip Girl.” As previously stated, the Kills have spent the last month playing large outdoor venues with the Raconteurs. This MySpace Secret Show is easily the most intimate performance they will stage during this current US run, making it that much more special.
MySpace Music has organized more than 150 Secret Shows since the franchise launched in February 2006 with artists like Gnarls Barkley, The Offspring, Neil Diamond, Slayer, Fran Ferdinand, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs performing in cities around the world.
