Nekromantix will return with their third Hellcat disc, Life Is a Grave & I Dig it! on April 10, 2007. In celebration of the Kim Nekroman-fronted outfit’s first disc since 2004’s Dead Girls Don’t Cry, the world famous, Denmark-bred group will hit the road with their take on psychobilly and punkabilly as headliners on the 2007 North American Hellcat Tour. Before that commitment gets underway in mid-April, Nekromantix will bring its fun, creepy rock & roll show on a run of non-Hellcat dates in Southern California between April 12 and April 15.

“Unlike our last album, the songs were rehearsed well before entering the studio this time and they were recorded live with very few overdubs to keep that live energy,” says singer/coffin bassist Nekroman of Life Is a Grave & I Dig it! “The lyrics are about life, death, love and everything that is around, but wrapped up in a horror story or thriller-style universe. These stories can be inspired and based on either real stories or being plain fiction.”

Boasting the exuberant, rollicking opener “NekroHigh,” the twangy rockabilly-steered “Horny In A Hearse” and the blistering, highly-charged “Panic At The Morgue” among its thirteen tracks, the latest installment in Nekromantix ghoulish rock arsenal is sure to appeal to fans and curious listeners alike. And according to, Kim, Life Is a Grave & I Dig it! was “recorded in Hell , Los Angeles and engineered by Niedermeier.”

Founded by Nekroman in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1989, Nekromantix sinister sound has endeared them to fans of psychobilly ever since. Signed to Hellcat by Rancid frontman and label head Tim Armstrong in 2001, Nekromantix which now counts guitarist Troy Destroy (who joined in 2005) and drummer Andrew Martinez (who signed on in May of last year) will join the following bands:
