Ozomatli will be participating in a State Department Sponsored trip, serving as Cultural Ambassadors and performing in South Africa and Madagascar this October. This is the first visit to Africa for Ozomatli, and they will be playing a free outdoor show in Pretoria with the band Freshly Ground, a South African band who are kindred musical spirits.

Ozomatli will be involved in several outreach events, such as music workshops for disadvantaged youth, and visits to AIDS clinics and orphanages. Ozo will also play at several festivals in both countries.
