Orange County ska band Save Ferris have announced their first show after a 10 year hiatus from performing. The group will be performing at the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, CA on July 27th along with the English Beat.

Save Ferris formed in 1995 and, along with fellow ska bands such as the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Reel Big Fish, garnered much mainstream success. The band had radio success with their cover of Dexy’s Midnight Runner’s Come On Eileen, peaking at #26 on Billboard’s US Alternative Song charts. In addition to the music, the band made many on-screen appearances most notably performing in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You.

Since breaking up, members of the band have remained busy. Their lead singer Monique Powell provided vocals for a number of bands in studio as well as performing with the band Mojo Wire. Many former members of Save Ferris also started a ska band called Starpool with former No Doubt member Alan Meade. Starpool released an EP in 2003 and a full-length in 2010.
