The Afghan Whigs release first new track in five years

Beginning at Noon today, The Afghan Whigs will make the song “See And Don’t See” available as a free download at: www.theafghanwhigs.com. Originally recorded in 1970 by Marie “Queenie” Lyons, the band’s version of “See And Don’t See” is the first new recording in over five years from the recently reunited group.

The Afghan Whigs will perform “See And Don’t See” when they make their first television appearance in over a decade on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon next Tuesday May 22nd.

The Afghan Whigs will perform their first show in 13 years to a sold out crowd at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City next Wednesday May 23rd. The band have currently announced 28 worldwide shows to date for 2012 including performances at Lollapalooza, ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror (London & NJ), Primavera Sound (Barcelona & Portugal) among numerous others.
