The Church & Psychedelic Furs Announce Summer 2016 US Tour

The Church and Psychedelic Furs have announced Summer tour dates for 2016. They toured together last year so I guess things went well. Sadly no dates on the East Coast this time though. The 15 show tour starts on July 15th in Flagstaff, AZ and wraps in Sioux City, IA on August 6th. Tickets for (most of the) shows will go on sale Friday morning.
Originally from the U.K., The Psychedelic Furs scored major hits with “Love My Way,” “Pretty In Pink,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost In You,” and “Heartbreak Beat,” releasing seven studio albums and several compilations over the course of their career. Over the past three decades, Furs’ concerts have become must-see events as they continue to sell out venues worldwide.
The Church are touring in support of their 25th studio album, Further/Deeper, which was released in North America last year to rave reviews. 2015 was a wildly successful year for the band with performances at SXSW, Primavera Sound in Spain, two North American tours and their first European tour in eight years.
“Sometimes rock ‘n’ roll has really good double bills where there are two likeminded acts and the audience can go away very happy they got their moneys worth,” The Church’s Steve Kilbey commented. “This is how it is with The Church and Psychedelic Furs I believe; and because the last lot of shows went so well we couldn’t help but want to keep it going.”
