The Shins playing SNL on March 10th

Lately the bands on SNL have been, um, shitty to say the least. Thankfully that will hopefully change when the Shins (James Mercer + his backing band = The Shins) are set to perform on Saturday Night Live on March 10th. This will be the band’s second performance on the TV series.

Directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan a/k/a DANIELS, the clip puts a darkly brilliant narrative spin on the first single from the band’s forthcoming Port Of Morrow, which can be pre-ordered now at http://www.theshins.com/shop and is out March 20 on Aural Apothecary/Columbia.
