Confirmed Tours With No Doubt And Fall Out Boy

Premiering New Song On Last Call With Carson Daly On Thursday, February 12th

Swedish quintet THE SOUNDS are excited to introduce and perform new material from their upcoming studio album with a series of 30+ headlining dates in major cities worldwide, including London, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Barcelona, Montreal, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. In addition, beginning March 10th in Paris, France, the band will embark on a three-week European tour with Fall Out Boy, and then head to North America for a three-month trek with No Doubt. The bands new album, CROSSING THE RUBICON, set for a May release, follows up the highly successful DYING TO SAY THIS TO YOU, which caught the attention of many for it’s fist pumping rock, club anthems and sexed up new wave. On Thursday, February 12th, The Sounds will perform “No One Sleeps When I’m Awake,” from the new album on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. The song made its debut recently at the band’s headlining show at the legendary Hollywood Palladium to the delight of 4000 fans.

Recorded in Sweden, Los Angeles and New York, CROSSING THE RUBICON continues to deliver gripping hook-filled songs full of the punch and swagger that helped bring the band from Helsingborg to the world. With songs that have an undeniable energy, like the dance electro-funk of “Beatbox,” and the powerful combination of spitting-rock cockiness and pop synth on “Four Songs And A Fight,” the new album presents a deeper version of the sound that established the band as one to watch.

Along with critical praise from Spin, Playboy, Q, Vanity Fair, Nylon, NME, Guitar Player and many more, DTSTTY debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Heatseakers and Alternative New Artist charts and the songs which Rolling Stone hailed as “Blondie-style cool with a streamlined punk rush” received over 12 million plays on myspace. In addition, Rolling Stone went on to call the band’s last single “Tony The Beat” one of “the greatest songs of 2007” and Blender Magazine hailed lead singer Maja Ivarsson the “Hottest Woman in Rock.” Known for their intense and exuberant rock n roll live show, the band captivated fans around the world by playing more than 500 shows in support of DTSTTY, selling out major venues in over 25 countries worldwide.

Dates to be announced shortly.
