Today it’s been announced that The Vaccines will return to North American in early 2013 for their first headlining tour! This news comes on the day of the bands’ U.S. release of their critically acclaimed, U.K. chart topping sophomore LP The Vaccines Come Of Age. Kicking off on January 29th in Boston, MA, the band will bring their guitar-packed, energy-filled live performance to some of the best venues across North American including the 9:30 Club in D.C., Lincoln Hall in Chicago, The Fillmore in San Francisco and many more (full list of dates below.)
Written mostly on the road while living out the success of the their debut What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, The Vaccines Come Of Age shows a matured side of the band that has dutifully completed its rite of passage.
On a recent trip to the U.S. the band played two sold-out shows in New York City as well as a performance of their infectious hit single “Teenage Icon” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The Vaccines’ live performances are not to be missed, with the Chicago Tribune raving that The Vaccines “deliver the kind of set that should be required by law at music festivals with 2,000 bands clamoring for attention.” The band is currently on tour in Europe, but fans across North America will get a chance to experience their infectious energy firsthand on their upcoming 2013 tour dates.
