David Chase doing a miniseries at HBO

Sopranos creator David Chase is back with HBO as he’s getting set to work on a miniseries for the cable network. The miniseries will be called “A Ribbon of Dreams,” and it will be about the evolution of Hollywood and the film industry. I wonder if the series will end with Journey as the screen goes black, and gives the viewers blue balls?

He is writing the project and will executive produce with Grey, chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures. “A Ribbon of Dreams” starts off in 1913 and will follow two men — a college-educated mechanical engineer and a cowboy with a violent past — who form an unlikely producing partnership. The duo begin as employees of D.W. Griffith, then cross career paths with such Hollywood greats as John Ford, John Wayne, Raoul Walsh, Bette Davis and Billy Wilder. Through the eyes of the 2 guys, it will show the evolution and how Hollywood got to the place it is now. It sounds interesting but let’s see if Chase can end it better than he did with the Sopranos.
