400 Blows consider themselves anti-melody because of their rhythm-heavy guitar sound. Anti-melody is a nice way of saying monotonous and boring. Worse, the guitar drowns everything out, so you just hear the chunky monotone metal riffs, the musical equivalent of repeatedly banging your head against a wall. I wouldn’t say they suck because what I don’t like about them (no guitar range, no melody) is by design, and not through simply poor musicianship.

Bottom Line: Okay, fine, they suck.
