Although not rockabilly or psychobilly, Adams Dagger’s punk style has that midtempo swagger and raw, live-feeling sound that makes me think of pompadours and sleaziness. The posturing lyrics of the first tune “Bad Man” add to the sleaze factor, as well as the band’s name, noted by other reviewers as an archaic slang for penis.

I’m glad I kept the CD on. The sleaze quickly evaporates with lyrics moving to other topics, such as addiction, heartbreak, conspiracy, casualties of war, and survival.

The music is nice and basic – just solid punk riffs and simple verses and choruses. Most of it is catchy. There’s nothing new here, but they do simple, straight-up punk well.

Bottom Line: Midtempo verse/chorus punk.
Notable Tracks: Over and Over, Here Lies, When I’m Away
