A look back at the Nitro Records years for AFI, a punk band from California who has recently come to commercial and mainstream success. Their hit record, “Sing The Sorrow,” has sold plenty of records and even found success on MTV and MTV2. Nitro decided to release a retrospective album to take a look back at the band when they were different. A more raw and energetic sound, AFI was faster and heavier that made them the band that they are today. Well despite a more polished and produced sound, the band feels like the present sound is where they want to be. Nevertheless, AFI put out some great stuff in the past, and is so much better than their newer songs.

Bottom Line: A great look back at the mainstream punksters, check it out if you have not before.
Notable Tracks: “The Days of The Phoenix,” “Total Immortal,” “He Who Laughs Last,” “I wanna Get A Mohawk,” “Third Season.”
