I’m not quite sure what you would label the sound of The Bank Robbers nowadays. It’s a little bit emo rock, a little indie rock, and somewhat college rock. I use the term rock loosely. There wasn’t a lot of rock and most of the songs sounded like they should be on a Fuse pop show.
The musicianship is there for The Bank Robbers, but just about every song sounded the same….long and drawn out pop rock songs with annoying vocals. I could just picture the twelve-year-old girls crowding the front of the stage while singing along with these songs. Some people would call this “beautiful music” while most would say that it just plain sucked.
There really wasn’t anything at all to get me excited throughout the entire course of “Tomorrow Belongs To Me”. The album sounded very generic yet radio friendly. I’m sure that a lot of soccer moms would enjoy listening this in the minivan while driving those same twelve-year-old girls to soccer practice. I would rather listen to some hardcore. (I don’t mean that.) (Or do I?)
Bottom Line: If you like things that Alternative Press of MTV says are cool, then you’ll looooove this.
Notable Tracks: Defending the Kingdom (I guess…)
