Our little Ben Weasel is all grown up! His first solo album, after a dozen on-again-off-again years with Screeching Weasel and the Riverdales, takes the usual first solo album approach: slower tempo, less formulaic arrangements, and more introspective lyrics.

The only difference is that this is done WELL. SW fans might be disappointed because it’s not SW, but it’s still a solid pop-punk record, just not as silly, immature, or punky as his other work.
