Blood Vessels are more or less generic punk rock. They’re midtempo-to-fast with street punky, gruff vocals and riff-heavy, gearhead guitars. The band is sloppy as hell, but it at least makes them memorable. Hearing the guitar battle its way through a solo is both painful and amusing, and at least separates them from other high-octane punk n’ roll bands, making them that much more punky and pissed-sounding. And hey, at least they’re not fucking Deerhoof.
I’d give them three stars, but half their songs are over 4 minutes, which is inexcusable.
Bottom Line: Generic punk from Boston.
