Back with their fourth record on Epitaph, “Anchors Aweigh” shows that the band has closed some doors on their lives and begun new ones, musically and emotional. Stronger in all aspects, the Souls are striving to become bigger and better with each record, and “Anchors Aweigh” accomplishes that. Kicking your ass right from the beginning of the record with “Apartment 5F,” and continuing the rest of the way. “How I spent my summer vacation” is still my favorite album but this album is surely right behind it. I always preferred the more polished, more rocking songs than the older songs. Now, I can’t wait to see them play these songs live.

Bottom Line: : Definitely. I haven’t stopped listening to it. In stores August 26th.
Notable Tracks: Sing Along Forever, Apartment 5F, New Day, Better Man, Kids and Heroes
