Emo steeped in the melodic indie style. Layered and gang vocals work well here with a cathartic passion that actually sounds genuine and avoids emocore cliches.
90s post-punk is mixed in but to good effect: the dissonance lifts the melody instead of works against it. They also manage to avoid pretension; with most songs under 4 minutes, they cram a lot of sound in while keeping the fat trimmed.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
Bottom Line: Competent melodic indie blends well with layered, emotional vox.
