Soundtrack to critically acclaimed French Film The Chorus (Les Choristes) and France’s entry for Best Foreign Film for the 2004 Academy Awards. The film takes place in 1949 post-War France. A school for troubled boys, a new teacher arrives to find that he is surrounded by a bunch of miscreants. What surprises him is that these boys are more than meets the eye, with the help of music. Featuring 13 year old actor/vocal soloist Jean-Baptiste Maunier, the score and music in the film is sweet, and a pleasure to listen despite not knowing what the heck they are saying. You would think I would pick up some of it up with 3 years of French.

Bottom Line: A real treat to listen to. The boys choir is great on the cd.
Notable Tracks: Vois Sur Ton Chemin, In Memoriam, L’ vocation
